When touring Scandinavia people never forget to visit Denmark. Given the chance, I too would love to stopover at the home of the Danes to experience their culture. Aside from the fact that I’m a fan of Danish goods, I’ve heard of so many interesting places to go to when touring the country.

My curiosity got the better of me, so lately I’ve been obsessing about actually going there so I can experience firsthand the things I only browse on the internet. Virtual travel is not as satisfying, of course. With the help of Denmark’s tourism website VisitDenmark an itinerary was mapped out. Just imagining the scenic spots and amusing activities I’ll do once I get there fills me with excitement.

Without further ado, here’s my Denmark bucket list:

1. Spend one night at the Casino Copenhagen. Why there, specifically? If you’re not aware yet of the fact, winnings in this casino are tax free. More dough for me. Although of course, the thrill of gaming cannot be quantified. I’ll dress up real nice, in the likes of James Bond, and walk with swag because I’ll most likely be there only once. When I face that poker table I’ll conjure an image of Danish poker legends Gus Hansen (four-time World Poker Tour winner) and Peter Eastgate (2008 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion), then pray that I get to use their strategy and skill so I can also win big. Well, maybe not necessarily compete in the big leagues right away. I’d still have to practice more over at Partypoker, every night if that’s what it takes, so I can master the rudiments of the game. We’ll never know. Maybe with constant participation in online tournaments I’ll get myself a seat on the World Poker Tour. But, baby steps first. Practice.

2. Set free the child in me by fooling around in the many amusement parks Denmark offers: ride the Demon, the Golden Tower, and the Vertigo at the Tivoli Gardens; try about half of the approximately one hundred fun rides in Bakken, which is known as the oldest amusement park in the world; visit the Legoland, because Legos are among my first toys and it’ll be fun to see the stuff again; and, get on the longest roller coaster in Denmark at the Djurs Sommerland. Yeah, that’s a handful.

3. After catching my breath from all that playing, it’s time for a subdued day dedicated to culture. They said the ARoS Aarhus Art Museum is ideal for this. Described as “a 5 star museum… and one of the largest museums in Northern Europe” by VisitDenmark.com, it also features international art exhibits. For outer space and celestial displays I’ll drop by The Round Tower, an ancient observatory dating back to the 17th century. The ultimate immersion, of course, is to hang out in a neighborhood bar and talk to locals.

My list only contains three items so it’s highly probable I’ll get them all done. What’s your travel bucket list?

I recently revisited the site I created for the coupon advertising magazine I own and much to my surprise discovered a comment. Each of the coupons in my magazine Freebees have their own page, with their own comments. I find it boggling that someone interested in purchasing a musical instrument, would search for a local business – find the Freebees website, and then leave a message there!

This speaks volumes for the need for a well designed company website. More and more users opt to preview their shopping list online before heading out and spending time and gasoline to shop around and business without websites are losing business daily. Even traditional brick-and-mortar businesses like music shops need a basic website. They need not spend thousands of dollars putting their entire inventory online, but even just the most basic of sites would ensure that potential leads are not wasted.

Freebees is a bimonthly coupon publication, distrubuted on the top of Papa John’s Pizza boxes. Freebees offers coverage across Brevard County, FL including the Suntree/Viera, Melbourne and Palm Bay areas. For more information please call (321) 225-1937.

Unless you have been under a rock for the last few years, you are aware of all the exploits and hacks that IE6 is susceptible to. Its shoddy engine has been the bane of web designers for years. The number of css hacks that have arisen because of this particular version of Internet Explorer are innumerable. Countless IE-only style sheets have been created to deal with this application’s quirks and foibles.

Even today IE6 is still in use by many computers. Help spread the word that IE6 is terrible and point ignorant users in the right direction. This isn’t a “spread firefox” campaign, at this point the web would prefer that users pick any new browser over the outdated IE6.

Visit the website for copy and paste code that you can use to alert users of IE6 that its time for them to join the rest of the web and upgrade their browsing experience.

Freebees - Coupons and great deals in Brevard, FLI’m proud to announce my latest project, a coupon magazine named Freebees. In light of the hard time everyone is having economically, coupon usage is on the rise as more people try to stretch that dollar. Locally there was a need for a decent coupon magazine. The concept behind Freebees is simple. Fill the magazine with free stuff. Make it dirt cheap to buy a page, but make the client offer a decent coupon. The result? A book of great deals and savings that couponers will actually use. None of those lame “5% off” coupons here.

I felt the coupon cover should get your attention and make it very clear what is inside. A good amount of time was spent creating the Freebees mascot / logo. The intent was to create a jovial looking little bee. Ultimately, I like the resulting bee character – even if he does look overly enthusiastic about some coupons.

This bimonthly publication distributes 10,000 issues by collaborating with Papa John’s to include the magazine on the tops of pizza boxes and other traditional distribution methods. Its a tiny little thing too – about the size of an Iphone. See it for yourself.
